Short-term Portfolio Manager

As a Short-term Portfolio Manager at European Commodities, you operate at the heart of the energy markets. You trade short-term power markets to optimize customer portfolios and ensure balance in an environment shaped by weather, consumption patterns, and price volatility.

You work closely with a team that provides continuous market presence, combining sharp analysis with fast execution to turn market signals into real results.

You are responsible for the short-term optimization and balancing of customer portfolios, including:

• Trading spot and intraday electricity markets
• Managing portfolio balance based on weather forecasts, consumption data, and market prices
• Identifying opportunities and risks in fast-moving markets
• Working in close collaboration with fellow portfolio managers to ensure continuous coverage and strong execution

• You Enjoy working independently while being part of a close-knit team

• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field
• Experience in trading (any sector) is a plus, but not required
• A good command of English
